As 2014 approaches, here are our most popular posts since joining The Washington Post in late September.  Thanks to all of our readers, new and old.  Happy New Year!

  1. The United States is isolated in the TransPacific Partnership negotiations.  A great post, with great graphs, by George Washington University doctoral student Gabriel Michael.
  2. The conservative shift in public opinion has happened in all 50 states.
  3. 5 myths about the future of Obamacare.
  4. The Romney campaign’s own polls showed it would lose.  A tidbit from Lynn Vavreck’s and my book on the 2012 election, “The Gamble.”
  5. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from The Monkey Cage! Clearly we need to include more cute monkey photos in our posts.  (Note, though, that the chimpanzee above is technically an ape, not a monkey.)
  6. Most Americans are not like Antonin Scalia. In the sense that they don’t live in partisan bubbles.
  7. Media coverage of 2012 elections was fair and balanced after all.  (No, really!  For more, see “The Gamble.”)
