Inside Higher Ed describes a new petition regarding the upcoming 2012 APSA meeting in New Orleans, which, as Lee noted a while back, has been the subject of a boycott because of Louisiana’s policies regarding gays and lesbians. The petition calls for political scientists to attend the meeting but engage in protest:
bq. Wouldn’t it be better to have the 500+ signatories to this boycott join hundreds if not thousands of others in some type of civil protest action in New Orleans during those 5 days in the summer of 2012?
