Guest-blogger Eric McGhee

- November 2, 2010

We welcome guest-blogger “Eric McGhee”:http://www.ppic.org/main/bio.asp?i=378 to The Monkey Cage for the next week or so. I’ve known Eric since our days in graduate school at Berkeley. He is currently a Research Fellow at the Public Policy Institute of California. His work centers on congressional elections and a variety of other topics. I previously discussed his research on primaries and polarization “here”:https://themonkeycage.org/2010/03/will_the_toptwo_primary_end_po.html. He and I also co-authored a forthcoming paper on what changes the partisan composition of the electorate; see this “post”:https://themonkeycage.org/2010/07/changing_minds_vs_changing_vot.html.

Eric has assembled an excellent dataset for the U.S. House that he and I will be using to churn out timely and at least somewhat evidence-based analyses of this election. Stay tuned.
