Just a personal observation, but it seems crazy to me that while I am out of the country I can effortlessly pay bills from my bank account back in the US over the web, I can get information from my accountant by email the same way I always do, but if I have even a minor question for my doctor, I have to phone her office, leave a message with a secretary, and then deal with the inevitable issue of whether anyone actually has permission to make an international call from her office. Surely, there are areas for efficiency gains here….
