We are very pleased to have Erik Voeten joining the blog. Erik was once a colleague here at GW, but for incomprehensible reasons — a desire to be further from the Metro? a bulldog fetish? — is now Peter F. Krogh Associate Professor of Geopolitics and Global Justice at Georgetown. I think that means he’s still a political scientist.
Erik’s research focuses broadly on international relations, with a particular focus on international organizations and legal systems. Henry previously discussed a recent publication of Erik’s about the European Court of Human Rights.
Erik also adds to The Monkey Cage’s extraordinary diversity in national origin (the US, Ireland, South Dakota). He comes from a beautiful country of tulips, loose social mores, once-great footballers, and intensive water management.
