He will be remembered for his political activism, but one of the more insignificant causes he took up was the Monkey Cage; he was one of our boosters in our early days, long before we came to The Post, or indeed had many readers at all. He was also a dear friend, and one of the kindest, sweetest people I’ve ever met. He is greatly missed.
